Für meine Videos verwende ich Kdenlive, das es als Flatpack und AppImage gibt, natürlich gratis:

Für Fotos gefällt mir RawTherapee sehr gut, ebenfalls als AppImage downloadbar:

Oh, I'm sorry for the German comment :-( But I guess you got the gist of it - Kdenlive for video, RawTherapee for photos. Both professional software and FREE :-)
Feel free to comment in german again whenever you like, I love learning languages and having to translate is great for practice! I am studying French and Chinese now but want to start german soon by the way haha

@igormuba thanks for sharing a free video editor.. most people think you need to buy an app like final cut pro, premiere or some other hundred dollar plus app. I use GIMP for photos and I love it.

Linux and open source rules!! As I have said in the video, with more people supporting open source by sharing, giving ideas, donating and helping developing open source softwares can become much better than proprietary ones, China is the proof that an open source economy can thrive and lead the way forward!
