A couple of months ago the first time I went abroad from the country, and the first country I visited was Finland. This is not surprising, because Peter is there at hand, some 200 km from the First city that I visited was Imatra. It is located North of St. Petersburg, in the region of South Karelia, immediately upon crossing the Russian-Finnish border. Leaving you get on Svetogorsk border crossing point, immediately followed by Imatra. I went there with the aim to open a Schengen visa well at least once to go somewhere abroad. The weather was wet and cool, I thought it was even more depressing than in St. Petersburg.

Once crossed the border, we were delivered to the store "Disa''s Fish", was advised to have Breakfast for 7 euros is what the famous Finnish fish soup of trout, it seems, and there is something else included in the lunch, but I naively thought that it is possible to find cheaper prices than in St. Petersburg and was wrong). Sorry that I missed the Breakfast, next time will definitely try it. The food there is more expensive almost in 2 times, found the only coffee at the same price, the quality was better than us.
Then they took us to the city center.

This is the Famous hotel "Saimaan Valtionhotelli", a photo of which was in the beginning, and its story is very interesting. Some Scandinavian loggers, during the reign of Catherine 2 cut down there ugly the castle for three days, the arrival of some important persons from Russia, the Queen, had trouble listening guide). And succeed, despite the fact that the building was so ugly that everyone around would laugh and shame them. The guests liked there to sleep and the money fell down the river, the owners of this hotel was the dynasty of these fellers. He was repeatedly set on fire envious, but they were rebuilt each time the hotel gets better and better. Now there is a legend about the Ghost living there, the young girl committed suicide. At the beginning of the 20th century, there are a lot of fans to jump from the bridge onto the rocks once:

Soaked to the bone, tired and starved, I began to understand them in the evening.
