Want to Become The Batman? Check This Out!

If you ask any person if they could become a superhero, just like in the comic books,do you think they would take the chance? Unless that person has been living on a deserted island or on another planet, odds are that they would say yes.

Now, the chances of gaining superpowers like Superman or Spider-Man are slim (you would have a better shot of being by lightning twice, after winning the lottery), hope still remains for those vigilante wannabes. If you still were to take a stand against crime, Batman is an icon you can turn to.

Much like all of us, Batman has no super powers. He only possesses basic human strengths, intellect, and intuition (not to mention an array of hi-tech gadgets).

With using the same human abilities and a bit of direction, you too can fight crime in a suave, cool, yet unorthodox manner:

Physical Training

Strength and discipline is the nerve center for keeping yourself at the advantage when it comes to physical conflict with fighting crime. Though the process can take years to perfect, various types of martial arts can sharpen one's strength, speed, and agility.

Strength is important if you are attempting an offensive battle with one thug; but when you are dealing with more than one thug, you need to be able to change gears from offense to defense. With your sharpened reflexes, taking down one criminal while preventing an attack from another simplifies your job.

Weapons Training

Though Batman does not use guns or knives in a sense, mainly gadgets, it is still important to have an understanding of arming yourself and disarming others who attempt harm on you. It will not always be a fair fight when you attempt to have a fist fight when your opponent pulls a gun on you.

Gadgets would play in a part of this category when it comes to defense. The use of various technological equipment (grappling hooks, gas bombs, etc.) does require training as well.

Though not meant for fatal harm, inexperience with this type of equipment can lead to the unintentional death of others or even yourself.

Image Creation

Sometimes, taking physical action against those who plunder and steal is not always the best form of action. Batman's biggest tool was not his ability to fight, but his image and notoriety as a psychological weapon against the criminal world and a symbol of hope to the civilized world.

Image is a very crucial part if you intend to fight crimes. Your image to those who you help can inspire them to speak up and defend your crusade (though not all will) and those you are battling can create fear and hysteria.

Armory

Okay, as I mentioned earlier, Batman really does not use traditional weapons. However, he uses a stockpile of sophisticated technology to give himself the upper hand against the underbelly of society.

As far fetched as some gadgets may be (rocket boots, gas powered grappling hooks, bat themed shark repellent, etc.), a great deal of gadgets Batman has used on television and in movies are very much a reality (sonar, memory foam cape, body armor).

All of these items can give one the enhanced ability in defensive, offensive, and pursuit tactics.

Bankroll

All these previous ideas and suggestions cost money and they are not cheap. Luckily, for Bruce Wayne, money was never an issue. However, the average person does not have a billion dollar trust fund to support their double life of fighting crime.

In conclusion, there is no specific piece of advice one could give to another of how to become wealthy enough to pay for everything you need. The only vague suggestion that I would be able to suggest would be to either inherit it, earn it, or (I don't condone it) steal it.

Determination

Obviously, this is the important item you need to have. Without determination and cause, you're simply a thug running around in a cape and costume, looking for trouble.

Bruce Wayne's intolerance of crime originated from the murder of his parents. Most superheroes you read about have been wronged in some way in the past, which inspired each of them to put the law into their own hands.

Takeaway

Though these abilities and resources may appear to be out of touch, realistically, and may take years and millions of dollars to perfect and obtain, it all is completely plausible... crazy, yet plausible.

So, if you were severely wronged in your past, have millions of dollars to burn, have a knack for martial arts, are able to obtain prototype gadgetry, and are completely suicidal, you too could become like Batman.
