Cancer prevention from the kitchen!
The researchers at the Francis Crick Institute say that some vegetables like cabbage, broccoli or kale spinach can prevent cancer of the colon. Research on mice in the laboratory showed how vegetables made a thin layer on stomach and intestines. The intestines layer are constantly changing like skin. A new cover is made every four to five days apart. However, if this process is obstructed, gastric inflammation may even be cancerous.
The results of this new study have shown that chemicals that emit from some species of 'cruciferous' species like cabbage or broccoli help to inhibit the process of forming this layer.
Researchers have seen, these vegetables make a chemical called Indole-3-Carbinol while chewing foods. Researcher Dr. Gitta Stockinger said, "To make sure these vegetables are not cooked much more, do not over-melt." Indole-3 come in contact with stomach acids and be a little change. Then at the end of the intestine it can change the behavior of Stem cell. This stem cell helps to formation of intestinal capsule, and controls intestinal inflammation.
Studies have shown that Indol-3-carboninol of vegetables is preventing stomach cancer of the mice. Dr. Stockinger says, we have seen, when the tumor is formed in the stomach of the rat, these vegetables stop the growth of the tumor. Stockinger himself is now eating less meat than vegetables. After a few days of our diet, we have been advised, sometimes they make confusion, and without argument I would not accept it.
British charity Cancer Research, UK professor Tim Key. said that the study found that these vegetables contain only fibers that are not, but those chemicals that are released from them can prevent colon cancer.
