Sometimes, that means we say things like, "Forget Italian food, it's horrible" or "Forget about the car, it's horrible". Cultivate positive thoughts and life and you will see how easy it is to cultivate positive relationships in all aspects of your life.


The first step in cultivating positive relationships is to learn to read later. This does not mean reading every word aloud; rather it means that you read silently to yourself, which helps to internalize the meaning of what you are reading. In this way, you can be sure you are truly learning something from the article. If you do this with your writing, then you will be a better writer in time.

Second step to cultivate positive relationships with people around you is to have fun. Laughing helps you de-stress. It also helps you develop a sense of humor. You learn about their histories, their aspirations, their dreams, and generally become more comfortable with them.

The fourth step to cultivate positive relationships with co-workers is to be genuinely interested in what they are doing. This doesn't mean that you spoon feed them information. Instead, nurture genuine interest in their world. Learn what interests them. Learn about their hobbies, their passions, their tastes, and generally become an avid learner about their business.

Fifth step to cultivate positive relationships with co-workers and fellow agents is to be accessible. One way to do this is to call everyone you come in contact with. Most agents are always in a rush, and even if you don't have immediate business, you'll usually still come into contact with several individuals. If you can meet with them when you can, even if it's via a phone call, it will go a long way in making your relationships go that much easier. In addition, consider cultivating a cordial relationship with other truckers in the trucking industry, as well as the trucking brokers. By approaching brokers and agents with a friendly greeting, they will likely begin to take you as a friend more quickly than if you greet them with snide remarks.

Sixth, cultivate positive relationships with management. As much as you want to take credit for everything positive that happens in your life, never forget that management plays a key role. Even if you think that you are the root cause of all problems in the office, management can be instrumental in working with you to make things better. Working with a cooperative, collaborative attitude toward management can be a tremendous help.


By following these simple, constructive steps, you can cultivate positive relationships with co-workers and fellow agents much faster. The key is to treat each relationship with respect. Cultivate open communication links with people around you. When you take the time to listen, respond, and interact with others in a positive and respectful manner, you will find that your relationships are much happier, healthier, and longer lasting than relationships that are plagued by resentment, anger, or negativity.
