Hi Everyone :)
How do you say hello to the world, I mean what is the greeting that everyone universally would recognize? We all speak different languages, are part of different cultures and ethnicities. Yet we are all human capable of communicating with each other.
What is the reason we greet each other in the first place? By saying hello we acknowledge each other, we respect each others presence, and we are courteous to one another. So what is a universal human greeting?
I think a smile is how we all say hello to each other without saying a word. A smile crosses all language, culture and ethnic barriers. Everyone of us here on Earth instinctually recognizes a smile. It's a wordless body language greeting.
So I smile at you world, this is my hello to you all. :)
Would this greeting work if we met aliens? What would our first meeting be like. Assuming the extraterastrials are benevolent. Somehow I have a feeling that a smile would go a long way when meeting other sentient beings...
