Update on Bitcoin Cash Hashrate
So, this is a technical post, and I'll try to simplify it as much as I can.
Hashrate is how much computing power is dedicated to mining coins. The higher the number, the better. Let's assume 1 has = 1 calculation, then 1 petahash = 10 to the power of 15, or 1 000 000 000 000 000 calculations... per second. My android phone, using the MinerGate app goes up to 15 Hash/sec, just to give you a comparison.
I just came across this post on the Hashrate of Bitcoin Cash. It caught my eye because I saw a youtube video showing a low hashrate and expressing concerns about it's viability.
I'm not an expert but there are other alt-coins with much less than 93 PH (peta hash), which seems to have been the average hashrate.
My only point is that I have hope that Bitcoin Cash will become a viable alt-coin and that exchanges will start trading in it soon.
All the best, and thank you for sharing your Light with me!
Thank you!
