The life I am living is full of wonder and adventure. I share myself openly emotionally & intellectually. My life is colored by the love, laughter & tears of close friends & family. My work is meaningful, full of purpose & offers a glimpse of my best friend, God, Creator of the Universe through me.
I am a Positivity & Possibility Consultant. I wander around and help people ... and sometimes I get paid. My specialty is helping individuals discover their strengths and gifts ... then helping them to use those very things to pursue their dreams.
I have always believed that anything is possible. I have been blessed to be a part of some pretty amazing things. Things that were bigger than myself.
Here are some of the cool things I have done:
Arkansas Heritage Day - created back in the '80s as an annual celebration of who we are. It soon grew to Arkansas Heritage Week and continues today as Arkansas Heritage Month observed each May.
Outer Banks Family YMCA - led a group of local visionaries who raised $2.5 Million to build a $5 Million + YMCA on a 100 mile string of barrier islands with an annual population of 30,000 or so. Everyone said it couldn't be done! We did it ... and the lifestyle of the community I love was changed forever!
Step Away From The Stone - co-produced a movie that deals with the struggles of addiction and how it impacts relationships and lives. This was a local production with all cast and crew hailing from Arkansas. The story line was based on the music industry. Our soundtrack was made up of all original songs from Arkansas artists. There were lots of miracles and stories-behind-the-scenes in the making of this movie ... I hope to share some of them as I go along on steemit ... at the end of the day, our amateur-at-best finished product was shown at local theaters in Arkansas for close to 12 consecutive weeks!
Moving into 2018, my two focus projects are the opening of my daughter's new business - Abbi's Teas & Things (abbiteas.com) in Little Rock (AR) and a series of events honoring the 40th Birthday of Balstovitch, the alien phenomenon that has captured the hearts of central Arkansas fans since 1978. My fella, Roland Putnam Burham, is the creator of Balstovitch and other amazing art. (rolandburnham.com)!
I make things happen. I believe that ideas are worth something and I am always happy to share a few.
My listening chair is always open for brainstorming, encouragement or just an unbiased ear for a good rant.

A Positivity & Possibility Consultant! You know, I've always considered myself something like that. In my heyday, I've helped tons of people achieve or come close to their potential. Even though most didn't recognize my effort, I'm happy with what they've accomplished. Though, like a doctor, I don't practice what I preach. Would've been nice to get paid for it though. I didn't know that was even possible!
@dreemit led me here, and I have to say, what an awesome introduction post! I consider @therealpaul a brother cut from the same cloth, so by association, I guess you're a sister-in-law cut from the same cloth as well haha! I hope you have loads of fun here. I'm sure you're going to be able to help a lot of people!
You are definitely cut from the same cloth! It's about helping people ... even when they don't recognize it or acknowledge it. The getting paid part is much like steemit ... if you focus on the money it never comes ... if you wander around and step up in people's ... organization's (which are just groups of people) ... communities' (Just bigger groups of people) ... lives then the universe always finds a way to reward you ... and sometimes you actually get paid!
I wasn't looking for money whenever I helped people in the past, and the money never came as well haha! Maybe I just have hard luck when it comes to money then haha!
The YMCA helped my brother once. Welcome.
YMCAs are amazing. To think that the first one was established over 125 years ago to meet the needs of the society in that day and time ... and the leadership has continued to regroup generation after generation to continue to meet the needs of the ever-changing communities they serve!
I absolutely loved this! Your brother-in-law @therealpaul was the first friend I made here who has become more precious and important to me than words can accurately convey. It's awesome to get a glimpse of his family, and I'm not surprised to find you are my kind of people :)

Thank you so much for the kind words of encouragement. This is a new adventure for me. I can tell already that I am going to love the friends I make here. Steemit is going to give me new opportunities to touch lives and make a difference! Yay!
I am not exaggerating when I say that this place changed my life, thirteen months on a wild and crazy ride! Other places boast a global community--only steemit has ever delivered on that. I have friends in more countries than I could have named off the top of my head before I started :)
My tag line is dreemit on steemit, how crazy is it that you named your first post that? Especially being Paul's family...gotta love synchronicity (it's EVERYWHERE here haha!)
