Try Hyperloop, Train Speed Thousands KM per Hour
Dubai - Setelah mengumumkan rute barunya di India, kini Virgin Hyperloop One resmi memperlihatkan kereta kapsul canggihnya yang akan digunakan di Uni Emirat Arab.
Virgin memamerkan sebuah prototipe kereta modern Hyperloop One yang akan melayani rute Dubai - Abu Dhabi di Uni Emirat Arab yang berjarak kurang lebih 140 kilometer.
Kereta berbentuk kapsul ini nantinya dapat melaju hingga 1.220 kilometer per jam, sehingga lama perjalanan dari satu kota ke kota yang lain hanya akan menempuh waktu sekitar 12 menit.
Jika menggunakan mobil, perjalanan ke Abu Dhabi dari Dubai atau sebaliknya akan memakan waktu selama 90 menit.
Kecepatan tersebut diwujudkan dengan mengurangi tekanan udara di dalam tabung lintasan untuk menciptakan kondisi yang kurang lebih sama saat berada di ketinggian 60 kilometer di atas permukaan laut.
Kemunculan prototipe Hyperloop One oleh Road Transport Authority (RTA) ini mengambil tempat di Dubai saat perhelatan UAE Innovation Month.
Although only a prototype, but a capsule train that can carry up to 10 passengers presents a luxurious interior for a mode of transportation, with leather seats and HD-quality screen to display a number of information and entertainment purposes.
It is expected that the service, which is scheduled to launch in 2020, can deliver about 10,000 passengers every hour, whether it leads to Dubai or Abu Dhabi.
"RTA is one of the earliest supporters of hyperloop technology, so I am excited to be able to show off this capsule carriage," said Rob Lloyd, CEO of Virgin Hyperloop One.
RTA has long been working with Hyperloop One on November 12, 2016. In fact, at that time Hyperloop One is still not annexed by Virgin Group, which acquired in October 2017.
