List of Forbidden Hashtag Instagram, Here's How to Check it

The use of the Instagram hashtag is very important to grab the attention of other users to a content that is uploaded on the social network sharing of photos and videos. But apparently, there are some hashtag that Instagram banned.

As quoted from App Preview, Monday (12/2/2018), from a number of hashtags that are banned or blocked Instagram, some of the hashtags are ordinary hashtags, for example hashtag 'desk' which means table, Instagram block it without us knowing the reason.

The App Preview findings reveal:

• Some hashtags may be blocked forever
• There are a number of hashtags temporarily blocked
• Using a forbidden hashtag Instagram could result in a user account being exposed to even blocked restrictions
• Using one of the prohibited hashtags will result in all other hashtags in a free post
• If you want to use a new hashtag, you should check first before using it.

So far, there are more than 114 thousand hashtags that are banned by Instagram. You can also find out whether the hashtag to be used is prohibited or not. Here's how to check it.

• Open Instagram on smartphone, visit explore page with tap the magnifying glass icon
• In the search bar, type the hashtag to use
• If the hashtag does not appear in the search, the hashtag is blocked
• Hashtag can be blocked permanently or temporarily. So, it could have a certain hashtag appear, but then available later on
• If the hashtag you want to use does not appear in the search, tap the hashtag
• You must confirm that the hashtag should be 'safe'. Sometimes, some hashtags appear in search results, but their posts are hidden, as happened in the following #beautyblogger hashtag.
