Showing Love with Food

This is how I sometimes show love to my husband. He came back late due to having extra zoom meeting, and we were about to sleep, but I felt like asking him whether had he had his dinner. Perhaps I could make something for him.

I told myself to say 'No' to bed and to say 'Yes' to him when he replied that he felt like eating ham sandwich and a plate of instant noodle. With my Flash's power, I quickly popped to kitchen and did all the preparation. Marriage sometimes looks like this - forgoing yourself for the interest of others.

He actually told me that I didn't need to prepare the ham sandwich as the ham was already cooked and he could eat it cold, but I felt like pan grilled for him. Off I went to pan grill the ham, and I added eggs for him too. Next, I cooked the instant noodle aka ramen.

Too bad, not much vegetables left in the fridge except that little bit of lettuce so I sliced abit and topped onto the eggs.

He thanked me for gestures like this. I told him he deserved it as he worked so hard for the family. As he was eating the food, I had to go to bed because the bed was calling me. 😂
