Singing has always been one of my favourite hobby. Or should I say singing has been part of my life. I love singing since young. I would sing whenever I like, in front of TV, eating, bathing, etc. Poeple noticed and they would ask me to sing for them. For example, my aunt would ask me to sing to the grandparents. That was when I found out I was shy. I would sing my heart out except when people asked me to sing to them. What an agony!

That's why no matter how lovely my voice is, I csn never be a superstar and I do not want to. Singing makes me happy and that's it. No glam involved. No attention seeking. In fact, when glam and attention sip in, my mouth shut. My voice shatters. I remembered I sang once at karaoke set my father bought, and I would only do it when I was alone. Once family returned, I switched off everything pretended I didn't touch the karaoke set at all. Thank God my parents knew I love singing although I was shy, so they bought the karaoke set for me and taught me how to use it.

Tell me, what's my problem? I don't know, honestly. I just know this means I am shy.

But ever since I encountered God and started worshipping Him at church, gradually the fear left. And I amazed myself that I could worship lead at church.

Now, as a mother, I love singing even more. We sing a lot at home. We dance silly dances too. Glad the boys love my singing. Haha. And I am not shy to sing to them. We sing together often all types of song. Slow song. Fast song. Children song. Worship song. Singing really does lift up my soul. Recently, there is a song which captured my heart. Title "If I am a song". A Chinese song.

And yesterday I watched Nightbirde won her Golden Buzzer. So proud of her, singing her own original. She is battling cancer and maybe it will be her last year of her life with 2% survival rate but she remains hopeful and happy. Listen to this and be inspired.
