President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev suggested introducing a single crypto currency in the world
"There is a need to transform the world's financial architecture, which I had to talk about from this rostrum. It's time to seriously consider introducing an international settlement and payment unit. It will save the world from currency wars, speculation, avoid distortions in trade relations, reduce volatility in the markets. The currency should have a simple, transparent mechanism of emission, subject to its consumers. Taking into account digitalization, development of technologies, such a unit of account can be created in the form of a crypto currency. "
He noted the importance of the currency being based not on abstract trust, but on providing specific assets, was democratic, was accepted with the participation of consumers from all over the world.
"Therefore, we offered G-Global to not only G-20, but more countries participated in this matter," Nazarbayev said at the plenary session of the Astana Economic Forum.
In 2015, the President of Kazakhstan, speaking in the general debate of the UN General Assembly, proposed the creation of a supranational world currency.
