The diary game: seeing an elephant.
For the first time in my life, I saw the elephant and marveled at its sheer size and beauty. While wandering slowly in the thick grassland, wildlife exhibits control in each step, although it flees with a certain restrained grace. Its large ears waved gently, and its trunk, already a busy one, swung and twirled, inhaling an invisible scent deep within its confines. The sun glistened off of the elephant's tusks, the thick, intricately carved weapons being united in rugged style and proud history. Owing to its gigantic frame, it was however to be noted that a benign gaze came from within the heart, a serenity of learning that struck a chord. Little birds flew around it, sometimes sitting on its majestic broad back, as though this great bird was not a danger of any kind. As it advanced towards a waterhole the other animals made way for it begrudgingly, but without threatening it. I was in awe of this incredible animal and the way it made me feel connected with the forces of nature and most importantly, the elephant’s sprawled watchful power and ancient knowledge. It has been with me ever since as a memento of the harmony of nature.
