My Road To Greatness: Better Life With Steem
Assalamualaikum family.
It's another wonderful day to post in this community. I hope you all are doing good. It has always been great to be part of this family.
Growing up, I always aimed to be great. Though my life had it's own odds, perseverance and God kept me moving. I was just an ordinary girl aiming for a better life. I came from no affluent family. Despite all odds being against me, I knew with determination and hard work, I could paint a bright future for myself.
Just like most kids, I looked out for people I could emulate. People I called my heroes, people whose success stories could guide each step I took towards attainment of my own success. I found myself jumping from the Nelson Mandela's to the Gifty Anti's; from the Kofi Annan's to the Nkrumah's. But no matter who I chose as a role model something always seemed missing.
"What was I missing? ",I thought. Then, I realized that while I was lost searching for great role models, I couldn't even notice I was surrounded by the greatness I was all time searching for. The world call her my mom, but I call her my hero.

Without speaking in so many words, she taught me life. Courage, honesty, loyalty, patience, kindness she has it all.
History has recorded great people but I have chosen my mum. Not because she gave birth to me, but because I saw her fight battles no soldiers could fight.
With no educational background, no wealth and exposed to the harshness of the world she never gave up but only became tougher. "Fight every battle of life with God,and wait patiently for a positive outcome" she always says.

There are times we wake up with nothing to feed on, but with every word she speaks, she feed's us with the spirit of hope.
We barely meet our needs yet she's always ready to give out a helping hand to others .
On my journey to greatness, one thing I've always learnt is that, we often look out for role models without knowing that our mothers have conquered more than any world hero could.
Make your mom your hero!!
"No matter how successful you become in life, if your success cannot impart positively on the people around you, it's of no value" this is one of my mum's quotes which inspire me the most.
