10th July, 2022, the first day of Eid ul Azha, MashaAllah. There's always a different sort of thrill for Eid in Muslim households. The females are busy in applying Henna on their hands, the gents looking after sacrificial animals. The kids running around the cows and goats. Dads yelling at us for not doing house chores. It's a complete mess.

Eid ul Azha prayers are held way eaeliwr as compared to Eid ul Fitr prayers. We had our prayers in the local Mosque at 6:05 am. That's right after our morning Fajr prayers. If you don't know about the congregational prayers, it's whete thousands of men and women gather in a Mosque, sperately, and offer two rakt prayers.

We left our house at 6 am as the masjid is quite near to our house but unfortunately we missed the prayers in this local mosque. So we had to walk to another mosque in which the prayers were to be held at 6:20 am. On my way to the masjid, I clicked a lot of snaps.

As we reached to the Masjid, it was already quite late to find a suitable place for prayers. I went to the first floor. After the prayers, there was a sermon which is mandatory for Eid prayers. As soon as the sermon ended people started swarming out of the masjid.

It's obligatory to hug each other after eid prayers. It's not even a matter of obligation. We're al so happy at this occasion that we hug each other out of pure feelings. It's a beautiful moment. We hugged each other and I also clicked a couple of pics with my dad as well.

MashaAllah

Eid ul Azha is not for boys. I mean, we boys do not change into good clothes, drench ourselves in perfumes and take aesthetic photos. As soon as you come back home after offering prayers, you change into shorts and shirts, amd start managing the sacrificial animals. After the sacrifice, you have to be there with the butcher so that he keeps on doing his work. After that, we have to cut the meat, distribute it and manage the whole situation. It takes around 6-7 hours in this process. Here, you can see what I mean in a couple of pictures.

That my brother, @abdu.navi03 and I cutting meat that we got from our animal. It isn't that easy as it looks in the pictures. It was around 50 kg mean that we had to sort out. After this, we had our lunch in which we ate the meat of the cow that we sacrificed in the morning. I was about to take some rest, that's when my friend called me that he's downstairs and he wants me to go with him to distribute meat from his side. I quickly changed back into my Eid clothes and went down.

He had brought a huge truck for meat distribution. I got in the back of the truck and we started our journey. It was a long journey and it had a lot of unforeseen problems waiting for us. As soon as we hit the highway, it started pouring down on us like hell. A part of me was enjoying it, while the other half who was completely drenched in rain water, wanted it to end.

You had a very good day. I think the real way to celebrate this Eid is only for boys. Cleaning the meat after the sacrifice is made into pieces and then dividing the meat. This is Eid.
Thank you for sharing your day.
