Meen Murringakka Curry Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
  • 2 sardines
  • 1/2 tablespoon Red Chili powder
  • 1/2 tablespoon tamarind
  • 1/2 inch ginger
  • 2 onion shallot
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 2 tablespoon coconut oil
  • 4 curry leaves
  • 2 drumstick
  • 1/2 cup grated coconut
  • 1 large onion
  • 1/2 red Chili 
  • salt As required
  • 1/2 teaspoon  Fenugreek seeds
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1 green Chili 

Method

  • Step 1: Marinate the fish pieces to 10 minutes using salt and garlic powder. Meanwhile, chop all of the vegetables and maintain aside, individually. Grind nicely with just a tiny bit of water to produce a thick paste.
  • Step 2: Heat oil in a pan on moderate flame and then add fenugreek seeds inside. If the seeds turn golden, then place shallots, curry leaves, ginger, and green chilies within it. Fry until the colour of this mix changes into golden brown. Add the coconut paste with water and salt.
  • Step 3: when the spices flip aromatic, then add the fish bits in the bowl and then mix it all well. Set the lid on and cook the dish to get 20 more minutes onto the low-medium flame. Continue stirring to be certain the dish isn't burned in the ground.
  • Step 4: For the tempering, warm coconut oil in a small pan and add mustard seeds and red chili within it. Toss for a moment and pour it on the dish along with your own'meenmurringakka curry' is prepared!
