Whatever you do in life, don't look at other people to judge yourself. Different strokes for different folks. We're not all the same. You always have to focus on yourself and what you can do. The value you can bring to a company, an individual or yourself. If you start to think that Mr A failed at this business, hence you will fail at that business too. That's not having confidence in yourself. Of course, you should observe other people to see what they are doing and areas they have failed. But you should not use that to presume that you will not be able to succeed there as well. If the Wright brothers had looked around to see if anyone had invented an aircraft, I doubt they would attempt inventing one. They believed in their idea and brought it to reality. That's how we should also believe in our ideas

Don't be afraid, to the extent that you can't pursue your dreams. Some people freeze at moments when they need to showcase their ideas, or skills. You shouldn't be like that. I have found that everyone feels fear, everybody gets afraid of doing big things, but that's what distinguish the winners from the losers. The winners learn to manage their fears and still stand up to the occasion. Don't let the fear of failure stop you from trying, because in the end of the day, the biggest failure is the man that never tried at all. Hence, you must go out there and tell the world the great stuff you're made of, and the value of your idea.

Most times when you have ideas and share them, you find that some people just underestimate you. From the blast, they conclude that you can't pull it off. I have found that you should take that as a challenge. Let their opposition be your driving force. You use that as fuel, to make sure that in the end you have the last laugh and your idea sees the light of day. It's tough when people put you down, and tell you that you can't do this, or you can't do that. Especially when these discouragement comes from loved ones or friends. All the more reason, you should put your nose to the grind stone, and work to see that your idea succeeds.

You have to learn to sell your ideas. It's important for you to believe in your own idea, before you can make someone else believe in it too. You must do your homework. Be well grinded in the intricacies, such that when questions are thrown at you, you've envisaged it already. And you've prepared the right answers beforehand. When selling an idea or anything, it's important to note that people buy you first, before they buy your idea. Hence, you should look the part, be confident. Relax your breathing, before approaching people to sell your ideas to them.

You mustn't quit on your idea. It's usually difficult to get people to believe in what you're selling, what you're bringing to the table. You must expect rejections, but you shouldn't let that put you down. You must keep pushing and trying new ways to make sure your idea comes to reality. It's always tough at the beginning. But before you know what, one person would believe, then two, then three and so on. But you mustn't quit on yourself, if you truly believe in the value of your idea.

You literally can't live life without risks. Hence, you must know that everything creative is risky by nature. You must know the risks to whatever your idea is. Risk management is extremely important in business and everything else. Understand the risks. Every idea has risks, because nothing on earth is 100% certain. Acknowledge the risks, and reduce them to the minimum. People always want to buy into an idea that has reduced risk, so they can trust that their funds and resources are safe with you. Hence, take your time to analyse the risks involved, and prepare yourself to be able to explain that to the people you're selling your idea to.

In conclusion, don't compare yourself with other people. Believe in yourself. You can succeed where others have failed. Don't let fear freeze you to your bones, that you can't chase your dreams. Everyone feels fear, overcome it. Use the opposition of people as fuel to make yourself work harder and bring that idea you believe in to fruition. Look good, and sell your idea with confidence. Don't quit on your ideas half way, because of difficulties, keep the believe and eventually you will succeed. Finally, know the risks involved, and do very well to manage it.
