In the leaves of plants there are white spots and over time the white spots form a long line, curling, twisting with irregular grooves. If left unchecked, the longer the lines become more and fill the entire leaf surface. The color of the leaves will be white as a whole and then the leaves dry out and die. It is a symptom of a pest attack Liriat Liriomyza sp. which is called leaf miner or leaf miner. Flies Liriomiza sp. in some areas also known as orek-orek or gerandong pests.
Although leaf slaughter pests can be rare, but its existence can not be underestimated. Leaf spinning can be fatal because it can cause the leaves to dry, die and can not grow new shoots. Leaf slitting attacks will usually increase during the dry season. Flies Liriomyza sp. polyfag, can attack on many plants, such as gambas, cucumber, chilli, tomatoes, eggplant, red onion, long beans, potatoes, potatoes, watermelon and bitter melon.
