Will You Follow Me? - A Rob Dougan Inspired Post
We all want to be loved
We all want upvoted, to be followed and to make a mark (or Steem dollar, pound or Bitcoin) on Steemit and in the world in general.
We all (or me, at least) look at the whales and dream of having their influence and their reach. They were all early adopting minnows at some point, so surely there is hope for us all?
At the moment, I am not so sure.
Everyone seems to be scrambling to secure their own position, looking for the quick wins and hoping for crumbs from the table of the whales.
So, I am going to do what I can to follow and support more new accounts. If you have a rating of 25 to 30, please comment below and I will follow you. My votes are only worth 2 cents but I will endeavour to use them daily

Be yourself, nobody else can be you. Be your best you possible and people will find you, and you will find some to follow and some of them will follow back. Worry not about the small things like upvotes and follows. If you show us who you are and what you are interested in, we will find you. I'm finding this is a slow progression to the top, but also I'm finding quality people such as yourself. It's not a sprint to the top, that race has been run, now it is about the marathon. Going until you just cannot go anymore. You are loved. Heck, I love you, platonically speaking. Things will work out in the end, it's the adventure of the journey to the top that gets people interested and intrigued. These are my thoughts on the subject. Have fun, live life and share with us your journey.

I am happy sharing my thoughts and hoping that they connect with even one person, and I do not disagree with your wise words, but I do think that Steemit is weighted against minnows and my only desire is to help where and when I can. Give some a wee confidence boost to help them stay and help make Steemit even better than it is

There are no quick wins, only hard work and persistence. Only follow me if you are genuinely interested in my content (at least that's what i hope is the case for anyone who is genuinely interested in steemit)
Absolutely no quick wins. Hard work, consistency and great content will deliver through time. I've only been here a month but I genuinely like it and I have discovered some brilliant accounts (and that includes you). I just haven't been using my votes enough or following enough and wanted to do my bit.
