THE NERVA (XNV) CRYPTO PROJECT
Overview
As a cryptocurrency, the NERVA project really matters to me, and everyone else too. It's a more decentralized version of Bitcoin with many new features, including low transaction fees, privacy through ring signature, etc. There are so many great features of this coin, so we need to talk a little about that particular cryptocurrency here. We'll go through the basical stuff about this cryptocurrency and compare to Bitcoin, which also is a cryptocurrency, like NERVA. But the NERVA project is really much better than Btcoin as a cryptocurrency today.
Mining
First of all, NERVA is for everyone. The problem with Bitcoin today is, that all miners needs to use ASIC mining equipment, which means that the companies, that produce this equipment, will get in control of the market share for mining equipment for Bitcoin. Another fact is that this equipment is very expensive and only those with a lot of money can come into the game of mining. With NERVA, which is ASIC, GPU, FPGA and MINING POOL resistant, that means people only have to use one old computer, maybe even a smartphone one day, in order to begin to mine. This will make it so much easier for (almost) everyone to mine. Everybody is equal on this blockchain as Satoshi mentioned in his Whitepaper: 1 CPU = 1 VOTE.
When it comes to mining, NERVA is using CPUs. But there's also this rapid coin emission and every coin will be in circulation within 3 years from the Genesis block, where the last Bitcoin should be mined around year 2140. But no one actually knows, if this is for the better. It's really an interesting approach though.
Decentralized
The decentralizing effect of ASIC, GPU, FPGA and MINING POOL resistance also means, there's an even smaller chance of 51% attacks. There are many coins, that's been hacked in this way by now. In Bitcoin, there's huge centralizing factor, by Chineese miners, who could actually go together and make a 51% attack on Bitcoin at any given time now. This is something, that'll be almost impossible, if everybody starts to mine NERVA on their computers. This will also take care of the problem with whales, as the whales won't be that big, when and if people actually begin to mine NERVA, as it only needs more users to become much more secure than Bitcoin could ever be today.
Privacy
NERVA is a privacy crypto. It's built on CryptoNight, so it's just like Monero or any other related coins: Private. Privacy is at the center of focus for the NERVA project. We should all be able to use cryptocurrencies, as anonymously as possible. Monero is one cryptocurrency, that provides this feature too, that's now being used for this coin as well. This means it's not as transparent as the Bitcoin blockchain. Every user can send and receive money, without people can look it up, but the blockchain will be able to make sure, that the transactions actually are being confirmed correctly in the blockchain, no matter what.
Community
NERVA is a community driven and focused coin. It has a strong community behind it. Everybody can help others or get help from Discord, Telegram, Reddit, etc. This is great for developers as well as traders. NERVA has APIs for .NET and PHP, in case somebody wanted to integrate NERVA into their website or something like that. The community will be there to help you, whether you're a user, miner, trader and / or developer.
Conclusion
In short, the NERVA project is offering a new way to decentralize mining and get a privacy oriented coin into play. By mining on CPUs, almost anybody can mine, and the privacy feature is strong. We need privacy in financial transactions today, and NERVA can deliver one of the best cryptoassets, that exists today. At least as a cryptocurrency. And cryptocurrencies are the way of the future.
