Good ol' days
When those gentle harmonies would lull us
To sweet rest
A little jiggle, a little wiggle
Eyes lashes flutter, taking me into a world of peace
The pig and the hen
Stories we knew by heart
All the pills we ever needed
For the sweet relief of dreams
But look how far we've come
New waves arisen

Now we are chasing our tails,
Dreaming awake
In a bid to make bring to reality
Hard rocks for lullabies
Caffeine for pills
And when we finally close those eyes
We are haunted by nightmares of failure
How did we get here?
Hustling so hard to live
But only existing in the process
We forget
Life was made for man
Not man for life
