LOOK WHAT FOUND US!!!

We were going to be getting a out door cat soon to help with the mice in the feed/brooder room.... I was eating a slice of cantaloupe looking out the kitchen window, half listening to what my wife and mom were talking about when i heard a very faint meow. We do have a inside cat so my first thought was, it was just Cali. But then I heard it again about 30 seconds later and I was pretty sure it came from out side.

The meow was definitely not Cali's. This was a young meow and Cali is a older cat. I asked my mom and wife to be quiet for a moment. Then we all heard it. They went out to look for it and saw it on top of the carport that is close to our old deck. At first they were just trying to call it to come down. I came out side with my cantaloupe got her attion with it and she started digging in. She was very thursty and hungry. And is now stuck to our hip when we go outside. lol. She'll follow us all over the farm.

We named her Whiskers. We have had her for about 4 months now and she has been one the best cats I'v ever had. Whiskers is starting to do her job also. We have noticed a reduce in rodents. She even brought me one a few weeks ago! I will get updated pic of her on here soon!!

THANK YOU FOR STOPPING BY.

Sort:

we have four indoor/outdoor mousers to de-rodent our homestead. they are very good at their job and leave their daily kills on the deck. they certainly earn their keep.

Yes they do@fixedbydoc. Whiskers has been doing a pretty good job so far.

i think they believe we are lazy and don't know how to hunt so they bring us their kills so we wont starve... ;)

my cats say give whiskers a treat or else lol...

Lol. When she brought me one a few weeks ago I was sitting on the porch and out of the corner of my eye I saw her playing with something. It was one of those little pesky voles. She got a treat immediately!

yep start small and before you know it she is bringing home rabbits lol. my big white cat brings home rabbits as big as him almost. then shares it with the dogs.

Congratulations on the new mouser.
Don't forget to get her fixed at 6 months or you will be up to your elbows
in kittens. Males cats will come from miles to breed her when she is comes into heat. There are special clinics around that will fix her for much
cheaper than a vet. Like $60 each here in Canada.

Thank you @lacostas. Getting her fixed is definitely in the plans. 😁

This is the best post on Steemit. I gave you a vote now, ya heard?

Thank you @eatsrewards!! I really appreciate the vote!
