Is the bid bots still worth using?
my simple and close answer is: NO!
I had a journey from not knowing about bid bots in the beginning,
to using them a bit,
blaming on them as the curse of STEEM blockchain and steemit community,
to using them intensively,
to stop using them because...
It was no longer worth it!
yes you heard me right, and I was loud!
I still use Tipu and smartsteem in a very limited amount each time, to recirculate my powered down STEEM (do you wonder what is recirculation of tokens and why I do it? feel free to ask me in the comments!)
and I still think bid bots are the curse of this community... they cause inflation and they manipulate the reward pool. they even mislead users from the mission of steemit... the quality content...
but they are legit! that's the dark side!
anyway, with new steem value (like other cryptos), there would be less use of them I believe.
I hope the system would be cleaner once the value of STEEM goes back to old numbers.
it needs effort and management.

I power down and buy votes from bots. so I recieve back my steem with a profit (if the bot is profitable) after 5-7 days.
I also attract more attention from trending page etc, and also I grow my rep.
obviously writing meaningful and quality content is the first condition for all these to work.
but now, the bots are no more profitable. so I quit using them

And what do you mean by that bots are not profitable anymore?
Is it profitable if you bet $2 and get $3 in return right?
Longer the bot gives you more then your bet is worth it is that right?
somehow, the payout should cover 25% curators' share and the main payment + the margin, uf any...
