Weekly Steem Monsters Alpha Card Report - 25 November, 2018
Hi Steemians, and Steemmonster fans! It's that time of the week agian! Let's take a look at what has been happening in the world of combinations in Alpha cards, card by card, with some great charts.
This week, we'll note that overall, Alpha combination rates have remained very flat, week on week. Still, I started taking data, we have seen a significant reduction in Alpha card supply, as evidenced by this splinter by splinter chart:
The data for raw BCX also tells me that not a great deal of Alpha packs have been opened, though the Steemmonsters discord has many people trying to sell Alpha packs on the open market. I suspect these are still being used as speculative vehicles - as opposed to people hoping to get a certain card out of an alpha booster pack.

I hope one day soon to be able to combine alpha cards with beta cards.
This isn't something that will be possible - the game devs have said that it isn't something that they're interested in doing.
That, and the different xp levels granted by beta, and alpha cards (and is the combined card alpha, or beta?) makes it harder to prove the scarcity of cards.
Hmmm oh well. That kinda sucks. I spent a fair bit of steem getting my alpha cards to a decent level would’ve been nice to keep combining them.
If you're still getting your daily quest and season beta packs you can keep combining them. Plus there's plenty of contests around for Beta cards that can help you bit by bit
I've almost finished combining alpha cards too. Still waiting for the first Alpha Tourney and what your charts will look like then. :-D
