It's not my blockchain birthday yet...

August is the worst month of the calendar. It is just over half way through the year. If the number 8, which represents its place on the calendar, falls on its side, you're left with infinity. That's far too long.

August is also the month in which I exited the womb. Today is the anniversary of that very day, which is, for some reason, celebrated; as though the fact that we're still all alive as a species isn't cause for celebration enough.

Each and every day that isn't a medical mishap, or grave life-threatening injury are actually awesome. Those that contain these things are even more so.

So, what do I get treated to today on my meat-space birthday?

1. An early morning gym session, inclusive of tabata interval training (ouch)
2. A Phone call from my mother (ouch)
3. A forecast of apocalyptic storms (this is one of my favourite things!)
4. An excuse to eat terrible food because its a cheat day, all day (I love eating)
5. A tiny, hastily gathered group of individuals foolish enough to spend the day with me and share food with me.

Also, I got to use the horn on my car when someone decided that Turn Left With Care meant "turn left into the path of an holoz0r, without indicating, and then leisurely approach the speed limit".

It also meant I got to downshift gears quickly in order to avoid collision and paperwork, phone calls, and inconvenience.

I do love using the horn on my car though. It feels me with such incredible levels of dopamine because I know the other person is feeling an increasing level of remorse, anger, and frustration intermingled with guilt that you find in and amongst their sense of self entitlement.

It really does bring a smile to my face. One of the ones where the whites of teeth show. Which is fitting, because there's going to be much to eat today.

Remember how I said that August was the worst month of the calendar? It was also the month I joined Steem, and made my first utterances on the blockchain.
