From the popular coast and into the countryside, not a part you hear much about when you think of Croatia. But who would have thought it turned out to be a very cool and unique experience?

from Chaos to Tranquility

Yesterday evening I found this spot in middle of a full-blown thunderstorm, not really aware of my surroundings since it was both dark and chaotic. I woke up to this small bay just before sunrise, I'm normally not a morning person but when you wake up to this, you are not tired anymore. The sounds of birds and the calm waves made everything that morning amazing.

Before I could reach the inland just yet, I would have to cross this bridge and bike a long another bay for a little while longer.


It was a beautiful morning and only 26 degrees this early, much cooler than what I have gotten used to the last week.

of course I was still sweating, but by now that's a standard that won't ever change. So when I say '' cool'' temperatures, I mean from the standpoint of not feeling like I'm melting. (as the later part of the day with no doubt will do)

The deeper I went the more everything changed

As I started biking deeper and deeper into the countryside of Croatia it really started to surprise me how raw everything became. It almost felt at times that I was in some weird combination of Australia backcountry and western American style movie. Not because there was cowboys or anything really that similar about the landscape either. But it was just the feeling of empty, endless roads that lead me through villages so remote from everything.

despite the emptiness it was epic to bike through, it had a certain feeling to it, in some way you kind of felt vulnerable.

This is a water fountain just before everything truly went wild(I don't think it was random they putted it here?)
