Today I come to share with you my photo of Helianthus annuus (Sunflower). This morning I went to visit my grandmother as I usually always do, after saying hello and sharing a while I sit on the porch of the house where I can see a small garden that is there, in it I could find this beautiful sunflower that it glowed in the sunlight and stood out for its colors and its appearance in the garden.

The sunflower has many names, they are calom, jáquima, wonder, mirasol, tlapololote, tile corn, acahual. is an annual herbaceous plant of the Asteraceae family native to Central and North America and cultivated as a food, oilseed and ornamental throughout the world. _Fuente

Sunflower contains up to 58% oil in its fruit, an oil that is used for cooking, and also to produce biodiesel. There are different types of sunflowers and their uses vary among them. The "pomace" that remains after the oil is extracted is used as feed for livestock.
The stems contain a fiber that can be used to make paper, and the leaves can also serve as food for livestock. _Fuente

Hoy vengo a compartir con ustedes mi foto de Helianthus annuus (Girasol). La mañana de hoy me dirigí a visitar a mi abuela cómo comúnmente siempre hago, despues de saludar y compartir un rato me siento el porche de la casa donde puedo observar un pequeño jardín que allí se encuentra, en el mismo pude encontrar este hermoso girasol que resplandecía con la luz del sol y resaltaba por sus colores y su apariencia dentro del jardin.

El girasol tiene muchos nombre ellos se encuentra calom, jáquima, maravilla, mirasol, tlapololote, maíz de teja, acahual. es una planta herbácea anual de la familia de las asteráceas originaria de Centro y Norteamérica y cultivada como alimenticia, oleaginosa y ornamental en todo el mundo. _Fuente.

El girasol contiene hasta un 58 % de aceite en su fruto, aceite que se utiliza para cocinar, y también para producir biodiésel. Hay diferentes tipos de girasoles y entre ellos varían sus usos. El "orujo" que queda después de la extracción del aceite se utiliza como alimento para el ganado.
Los tallos contienen una fibra que puede ser usada en la elaboración del papel, y las hojas pueden servir también de alimento para el ganado. _Fuente
