Local Fresh Fruit

We drove out to the rural side of the Big Island today and there were some fruit stands along the side of the road. We stopped at one and looked at the fruits they had for sale. There were avocados, bananas, and papayas. I found a large papaya and a super small papaya. I bought both for $2. The large one wasn't ripe yet so I put it on the window sill and it's still there. The small one I ate when we got home. It was delicious. I like to buy local fresh food straight from local food growers. The slogan in Hawaii is Shop Local, Buy Local, Support Local.
