Not Everything Is Meant To Be A Competition.

For some time now, we have always wanted to lift our heads up high in the midst of our peers. This is usually the case since we want to be viewed as the best among the lot and will do what we can in order to be always chosen first.
But that is not what is supposed to be important in life. Competition is sometimes good in certain sports and events as it helps to push ourselves to become better. But competition in real life doesn't necessarily help anybody. It only brings out the worst in people.
I say this because I have seen people in the same families, born to the same parents, grew under the same rood, but when they became adults, they just wanted to be better than each other. So no matter the pain and suffering it brought to their own families, they stopped at nothing to reconcile.
If that is what our lives have gotten to, then we are surely doomed.
No doubt, we have to be focused on being the best at everything that we do. But it should not come at the expense of others. I say this because, if you are doing something in order to be the best, you should not step on other people's opportunity. Let them also win in their own way as well.
There is no point in trying to bring people down on your path to success. You should only seek to touch the lives of others, and not step upon them on your way to the top. That is my advice.
