This one seems to have slipped under the radar – nothing from electroneum’s twitter/facebook and nothing on reddit.

According to the timeline on electroneum’s website (https://electroneum.com/#listings) on the 23rd Feb 2018 a deal was signed with Unified Signal (http://www.unifiedsignal.com/), expanding user each by 130 million!

Why is this good?

Well electroneum wants mass adoption for two reasons:

Their platform is used for their initial aim – helping less developed countries pay for phone bills from their phone (some people have to walk 5+ miles to top-up)
Their second aim – entrepreneurism. Expanding their platform so it can be used to purchase anything anyone wants and sells, from a bag of rice in a shop to a computer online.
Simply put 20-30 million people regularly use Bitcoin – with deals like this the user number will grow past that of bitcoin (this is not about price, just user number) if their technology succeeds.
