The Eagles made a statement in prime time with a dominant 24-7 victory over the Minnesota Vikings on Monday Night Football in the home opener at Lincoln Financial Field. The Eagles gave fans plenty to cheer about as quarterback Jalen Hurts was masterful, throwing for 333 yards on 26-of-31 passing. He opened the game connecting on his first 11 pass attempts, setting a new career high. Hurts had one touchdown passing – a BOMB to Quez Watkins for 53 yards – and two rushing scores as well as another 57 yards on the ground.

The defense held up its end of the bargain after the Eagles raced out to a 24-7 halftime lead by holding the Vikings scoreless in the second half. Cornerback Darius Slay put himself in position to be the NFC Defensive Player of the Week with two interceptions and five pass breakups, while keeping Vikings star wide receiver Justin Jefferson in check. The defense forced three turnovers – all Kirk Cousins interceptions – and the Eagles are 2-0 with their first NFC East showdown up next on Sunday in Washington. Here's how the game unfolded:

• The Eagles took the opening kickoff and marched 82 yards in 11 plays as Jalen Hurts finished off the drive by barreling through three Vikings defensive players for a 3-yard touchdown run, his second of the season. DeVonta Smith caught his first pass of the season on the first play from scrimmage, a 5-yard gain. The key play of the drive was a third-and-13 pass to A.J. Brown, his first reception as an Eagle at Lincoln Financial Field, for a 19-yard gain to the Minnesota 10-yard line. Hurts was 5-for-5 for 63 yards with completions to four different receivers. Miles Sanders added 14 ground yards on two carries. Eagles lead 7-0 with 9:09 remaining in the first quarter.

• The Eagles ended the first quarter with a 7-0 as the defense forced two punts. Darius Slay broke up a pass intended for wide receiver Justin Jefferson on third down on the Vikings' first drive. Then, James Bradberry denied a pass intended for tight end Irv Cross to end the second drive. The Vikings managed just 10 yards of offense in the first quarter.

• WOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOW! Jalen Hurts went deep to Quez Watkins, who got behind the entire Minnesota defense for a 53-yard touchdown to extend the Eagles' lead to 14-0 with 14:52 left in the first half. Hurts is 10-of-10 for 154 yards and a touchdown.

• The Vikings answer back after the Watkins with a nine-play, 75-yard touchdown drive. The Vikings converted two third-down situations – a third-and-1 with an end around to Jalen Reagor for 17 yards then a third-and-6 with a pass to K.J. Osborne for 15 yards. Tight end Irv Smith caught a 2-yard touchdown pass from Kirk Cousins to get Minnesota on the board.

• Jalen Hurts completed his first 11 passes. The first incompletion came with 7:08 left in the first half on a well-placed ball to tight end Dallas Goedert in traffic that the Vikings were able to break up.

• With 1:58 left in the first half, the Eagles extend the lead with a 26-yard touchdown run by Jalen Hurts. The drive started with back-to-back passes to DeVonta Smith that gained 19 yards and 16 yards, respectively. Two plays later, Boston Scott ran up the middle for a gain of 16 and two plays later Miles Sanders added 9 yards on the ground before the scoring play. Eagles lead 21-7.

• Just like last week in Detroit, the Eagles capitalized on an end-of-half drive to extend to lead to 24-7 at the intermission. Pinned at their 5-yard line, Jalen Hurts opened with a 9-yard gain on a designed run. After converting the first down, the Eagles were facing a third-and-6 when the Vikings called timeout. Hurts his DeVonta Smith for 16 yards then connected with Dallas Goedert on back-to-back plays of 19 and 24 yards, respectively, to put the team in position for a 38-yard field goal as the half expired.

• Jalen Hurts finished the first half with 251 passing yards on 17-of-20 attempts, 50 rushing yards, and three total touchdowns. Dallas Goedert leads the pass catchers with 64 yards, but Quez Watkins (69 yards) and DeVonta Smith (64) are right behind him.

SECOND HALF

• A promising Vikings drive was thwarted by Darius Slay's first interception of the year on a Kirk Cousins pass intended for Justin Jefferson. Slay has tailed Jefferson for a large portion of the night. The Vikings were at the Eagles' 19-yard line before the interception at the goal line.

• After the turnover, the Eagles were poised to tack on another three points, but the Vikings blocked the 41-yard Jake Elliott attempt. Patrick Peterson knocked down the offering and Minnesota returned it to the Eagles' 30-yard line. The Eagles got in scoring position thanks to two completions to A.J. Brown that netted 23 and 12 yards, respectively.

• The defense took it away again after the blocked field goal. Kirk Cousins' third-and-7 attempt to Adam Thielen was intercepted by Avonte Maddox for his first pick of the season. Maddox returned it to the Eagles' 15-yard line.

• It's been all defense for the Eagles in the second half. Fletcher Cox came up with a sack and forced fumble that the Vikings recovered to end a drive and give the Eagles the ball back with just 8:18 left in the game and the score still 24-7.

• The Vikings force a turnover as Kenneth Gainwell couldn't gather the short pass on an angle or Texas route from quarterback Jalen Hurts and it was intercepted by former Eagle Jordan Hicks. It was returned 19 yards to the Eagles' 9-yard line.

• SLAY SLAY SLAY!!! The Pro Bowl cornerback registered his second interception of the game in the end zone on a pass intended for wide receiver Justin Jefferson to get the Eagles the ball back with 7:07 left.

• The Vikings were just 1-for-4 in the red zone as defensive end Josh Sweat ended the night with a sack of quarterback Kirk Cousins on the game's final play – a third-and-goal from the Eagles' 11-yard line that went for a loss of 7 yards.

Los Angeles: Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine has reportedly been accused of cheating on his wife Behati Prinsloo.

A woman named Sumner Stroh spilled the tea on TikTok about her alleged affair with the pop star more than a week after it was reported that the couple is expecting their third child together, reports aceshowbiz.com.

Sumner said in her TikTok video, “I was having an affair with a man who’s married to Victoria’s Secret model.”

She claimed, “At the time I was young, I was naive. And I mean, quite frankly, I feel exploited. I wasn’t in the scene like I am now. So I was definitely very easily manipulated.”

“Maroon 5 is practically elevator music at this point. So, I’m sure you know who Adam Levine is. Adam and I were seeing each other for about a year, after I stopped talking to him over a period of months, this is how he came back into my life,” she continued.

The Instagram model showed an alleged DM that she received from Levine in which he asked if it’s okay with her if he names his unborn baby after her.

“Ok serious question. I’m having another baby and if it’s a boy I really wanna name it Sumner (sic). You ok with that? DEAD serious,” read the message, with a shrugging emoji.

After reading his DM, Sumner said she feels “like I have to be in hell at this point. My morals were unknowingly being compromised.”

She said she “never wanted to come forward,” knowing “the implications that come with doing what I do, making money the way I do, and being an Instagram model,” and the “stereotypes” associated with being an influencer.

As to why she came forward with it now, she said she “sent some screenshots recklessly to a few friends I thought I trusted, and one of them had attempted to sell to a tabloid-so here I am.”

Sumner also shared a message on her Instagram Story.

“Aware many people will try to fill in the gaps with many false assumptions,” she wrote after posting the TikTok.

“I don’t feel like I’m doing any favors, considering the manner this had to go about. It’s a lot to digest but hopefully, at the very least, the truth being out can do some good.”

Levine has not responded to the woman’s affair claim. He and Behati have been married since July 19, 2014 after dating for two years.

They welcomed their first child, Dusty Rose, on September 21, 2016, and their second child, another daughter named Gio Grace, was born on February 15, 2018.

A Proclamation on National Voter Registration Day, 2022
The right to vote is the foundation of our democracy — it defines us as Americans and serves as the cornerstone of our liberty. With it, anything is possible in America; without it, nothing is. It is a legacy passed down by our greatest leaders — a legacy which provides each one of us with a voice in the creation of a better Nation. It is the source of our power as citizens, our mightiest tool of social transformation, and the stabilizing tradition that confers legitimacy to our system of Government. Each year on National Voter Registration Day, we reaffirm our conviction that democracy only works when everyone can participate, and we encourage all eligible Americans to register to vote.

Our Nation has not always lived up to its promise of equal access to the right to vote, and so many Americans have struggled, suffered, and died fighting for a say in the destiny of our country. From Seneca Falls, New York, to Selma, Alabama, to Washington, D.C. — and across America — ordinary people have organized to protest disenfranchisement and won. The efforts of these courageous women and men have led to the passage of landmark civil rights legislation like the Voting Rights Act, the National Voter Registration Act, and the Help America Vote Act, which extended the blessings of democracy to millions of citizens. Lately, however, those protections have been weakened by decisions of the Supreme Court of the United States. Now, State legislatures are passing new forms of voting restrictions to limit participation and choose whose vote can count at all. As the late Representative John Lewis, an icon of the voting rights struggle, would say, “democracy is not a state; it is an act.” Our Founding Fathers understood this, as did the suffragists at the National Women’s Rights Convention of 1848, the other giants of the Civil Rights Movement, and today’s activists working for a freer, fairer, and more accessible voting system. Just as securing and protecting voting rights was the test of their times, it continues to be the challenge of ours.

As President, I will do everything in my power to protect the right to vote and ensure that every American has a free and fair opportunity to exercise this fundamental liberty. This means appointing highly qualified advocates to the Department of Justice and doubling the agency’s voting rights enforcement staff to ensure the Department has the resources to fight voter suppression in the courts. It also means issuing an Executive Order to establish a whole-of-government effort to promote access to voter registration and election information, especially in some of our most underserved communities. I have directed my Administration to take historic action to help college students and veterans register effectively. I continue to call on the Congress to pass the Freedom to Vote Act and the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act. These laws would address election subversion, remove dark money from politics, end partisan gerrymandering, and fix the gaping holes in voter access left by the Supreme Court of the United States. They would also allow the Justice Department to halt discriminatory laws before they go into effect.

In celebration of National Voter Registration Day, let us honor the heroes who fought to secure voting rights and expand them. I call on all eligible Americans to ensure that their registration is up to date and to encourage their family, neighbors, and friends to do the same. Let us all remain engaged with the ongoing struggle to build an America where every vote matters and where every citizen has the ability and the right to participate freely in the democratic process. We cannot give up now. The future of our Nation depends on it. To learn more about how to register or check your voter registration information, you can visit vote.gov.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, JOSEPH R. BIDEN JR., President of the United States of America, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and the laws of the United States, do hereby proclaim September 20, 2022, as National Voter Registration Day. I call on all eligible Americans to observe this day by ensuring that they are accurately registered and by committing to cast a ballot in upcoming elections.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand this nineteenth day of September, in the year of our Lord two thousand twenty-two, and of the Independence of the United States of America the two hundred and forty-seventh.

JOSEPH R. BIDEN JR.
