Powering up 4/17/19; I'm taking another month off from Steemit.
Possibly longer we will see... Unless I catch a snake! Or possibly another reptilian creature I stumble upon.
After a little over a year I FINALLY made it over 500SP. Even after buying some awhile back. My latest power up brings me to 513SP minus my small delegation (which you can take back now Dave, thanks!).
I need to decide if I am going to power down and cash out now. I'll be around commenting and upvoting you all still. In the mean time I'll be trying to get my shit together. Seriously, it has been almost a year since I last shot a gun SMH. That stupid comedy video I made last year shooting my AR-15 was the last time I went shooting. That's what happens when you have a baby. I'm sure some of you can relate HA HA.
Thanks for y'alls support and I'll be back in a month or so. Who knows, maybe I'll find a snake in a few days. :-)
And before I forget... Remember to leave out milk and cookies for Snoop Dogg on 420, aka Hitler's Birthday, aka Colmbine's 20 year anniversary, which is in a few more days. We are now less than a year away from it being 420 for an entire month. That's right, really BIIIIIIIIIIIIIIG SMILE!!!

Whereas I know this platform is deeply flawed, I'm planning to continue for the duration... unless someone takes it upon themselves to decide that cat blogs are somehow offensive and should be flagged. People are strange.

Thank you so much for your support @curatorcat! Your blog is awesome. It makes me love being a cat person HA HA. Believe me if Steemit ever outlaws cat blogs and cat people which I don't think will happen then I will leave Steemit permanently. I've got too many kitties in my life that I love sharing pictures of and if people got a problem with that they can unfollow and leave me alone. Same with all these trolls. If Steemit would allow us to block people we wouldn't have this problem. I'm not currently under attack but I have been attacked once already not too long ago. As a radical activist I know before too long I know I'm going to get myself caught up in all these flag wars.
You should have no problem reaching 500SP before June. It wouldn't surprise me if you reached your goal in just a few more weeks. I mean you are almost there so keep going.
I'll still be around upvoting you so don't worry I'm not going anywhere just yet :-).

That's a good idea to take a break and i'm planning on taking some time off as well and from the computer in general. I have lots of planting to do and I just met a group who are interested in setting up a small community of people to work together and help one another. If you're not here, there's not really much point in me sticking around either. Hope we can come in contact again down the road.
I'm planning on sticking around just because of the connections that I've made. People like you and a few others. I mainly only stay here because of the free speech outlet. But now that is under threat even here due to the way Steemit is set up. We can't block people and before too long all this immature flagging crap starts. Too many people are under attack now here on Steemit including myself. I've already got one troll following me who personally tried to attack me and one other activist for speaking out about vaccines and Big Pharma. Before too long, all of these thugs will be attacking me instead of just one of them. We need to be able to block people here on Steemit and all of this crap will go away.
This is why I need a break to figure out if I should continue or not. I'm ready to start getting in the streets and when I start making posts like that, then I will start getting some peoples attention around here. So I ask myself, is it worth it to go on? SMH
I commend the few of those who are successful and make a living from Steemit. There are some great people here who have made it.
I love the free speech outlet as well and i'm sorry to hear you're being trolled by ignorant people. If you press the mute button, I wonder if they can still flag you? I have had to press the mute button on a few people here and although they can still post on my blog and other people can see it, i'm not able to see it, so i'm fine with that. I'm not sure if these people have tried to flag me because i'm not sure how that works. That is very immature and especially when you are sharing very important information here with the public.
I'm very glad to hear you're sticking around because I really enjoy following you and learning from your posts and those you reesteem. I have met a few good people here too, but I have also witnessed those who are making good money here who are writing about pointless things. Then I see those who are writing about helpful and important issues, making very little. That is disheartening and it does reflect the type of audience we have here.
But I am glad for those awakened ones who are also here, like you:)

Sadly the mute button is pointless. I've got several people I've muted but I still have to unmute them if I want to flag them if it was one of my posts they left a nasty comment on. Muting will not prevent trolls from attacking you. It sucks I know. It is one of the many flaws of Steemit that I don't like.
In the beginning I'm sure Steemit was the place for like minded people to meet and greet sharing information and stuff. A year ago when I first joined up it sure did feel this way. I was so naive calling Steemit the anarchist superhighway. Not no more SMH. It is so frustrating to see so many stupid posts making money and other lengthy informative posts not making anything at all. Be careful though who's blog you follow. There is a LOT of plagiarism going on here too. Someone might not make money on an informative post because others know it isn't there original work. I discovered this in the Information War group. But that isn't why they kicked me out. I was mouthing off to them in their discord group calling them out for being faktriots and not real activists. "faktriot" is what I call fake patriots. Information War is full of them. Real patriots are conscientious objectors putting themselves at risk of being made political prisoners getting out in the streets exposing all these war crimes going on.

Spin some tunes on yer time off. Oh yeah, thanks for mentioning the Brian Jonestown Massacre band in a previous post. I hadn't any knowledge of them and was motivated to watch a documentary about them and the Dandy Warhols. Very serious art of dysfunction. Now I'll digest the BJM discography but leave the Dandy's alone. I'm always drawn to the darker shadows. The BJM intersects with the Doom Metal on my present diet. Soothing Doom.
