Mighty Milkyway on India-China border - Pangong Lake (4350 meter)
Pangong Lake, is an endorheic lake in the Himalayas situated at a height of about 4,350 m It is 134 km long and extends from India to China. Approximately 60% of the length of the lake lies in China. The lake is 5 km wide at its broadest point.
It was last year when I was traveling with my friends to mostly unknown valley "Chumathang". We were left Leh early morning and reached at Pangong Lake around evening time. There was a village, name is "Merak", which is situated above 4400 meters from sea level. We halt there for the night and It was 12 of night and Temperature was almost sub zero but still I was outside to get the perfect shot of mighty Milkyway. And result is in front of you.
