MERRY CHRISTMAS DAY BECAME FUN

Merry Christmas to everyone.Hipr you enjoyed the day! I was happy to celebrate it with one of my best friends and workmates here. We had arranged some drinks, delicious meals and ofcourse some music 🎶🎵. The first photo is me and Alfred; our head chef at our lodge.
He was very funny that day, he could show me and point at almost every bird he would see, haha ! He rarely does that on calm days 😂. Here was pointing at the volcanic stone that was a few metres from our point, and calling it a black Mangoose. This made me laugh almost the whole day 🤣😂.

We finally had a group snap of some of workmates, their faces looked to be happy, and indeed true. We had prepared some goat meat, chicken, and the roasted potatoes and matooke. But most in crew loved potatoes since it is the staple food for the Bafumbira and a big number of the workers belong to the same group. I had preferred the roasted matooke! This was done by 2 O'clock pm and unfortunately, a few minutes of music staging,the rain 🌧️ started falling heavily. This disorganized almost everything we had prepared since the skies were showing no rain. We had to wait until it stopped. We connected our music systems immediately and started the show, this made some of the community kids to stop by and started dancing too. They made the celebration more colourful since they had totally different styles. We gave them the platforms to dance and enjoy.

We had prepared much food so we helped to serve them and offer them the drinks that had remained untouched. A big percentage of the kids, were from the Batwa group; one of the most vulnerable people in the country. They were very happy 😊 and appreciative.

We could offer them the opportunity to even return for second time whenever they could not feel satisfied. Some who couldn't take the roasted matooke, were offered mashed one.

We concluded the day very well, having fun with the kids and the fellow mates! Happy holidays 💐 and more articles coming up soon!
