I saw this post on the social network that shall not be named. I am still laughing and @AnaHilarski is rolling her eyes so far back that she looks demon possessed.

Strangely enough , the Divorce rate was much lower then!
Most of that was - while not all of it obviously - just normal relationship advice, coming from a different age. The same could be written for the other sex as well.
I was thinking the same, this is what both people do in their relationship, right?
Except for the make-up part, neither of us does that...
I sincerely doubt there was a companion 'Tips to look after your wife' column. On second thought, I shudder to think what THAT would entail. Lol!

haha nothing beats the casual sexism of the 50s, except maybe the casual racism of the 70s
One day a guy gets home a bit drunk and he tells his wife...I've had it woman! From tomorrow, when I arrive at home, I expect to have my dinner waiting for me...my drink should be poured and after dinner while you are washing the dishes I want to take a nice long bath, and do you know who is going to do all of this for me????? Then his wife turned to him and answered...hmmm the undertaker??? I am truly thankful that I did not live in the 50's...my husband would have had an extremely stubborn wife!
