Now, a lot of people say this is "no big deal because," first of all; "I have nothing to hide" and, second of all; "the people that are spying on me...I don't even know 'em and I'll probably never meet 'em. And besides, they're only spying on us to keep us all safe...right?"

To paraphrase Benjamin Franklin, those who would give up essential liberty for a little temporary security, deserve neither liberty nor security.
