Darren Till Fined for Allegedly Trashing a Hotel Room and Stealing a Taxi

What is going on with the UFC / MMA fighters. Darren Till's latest escapades in the Canary Islands is the latest in bad behavior from the stable of UFC fighters.

I will not go into the details of the incident as you can read that online. I will, however, talk about the fact that this is NOT happening in Boxing, and this is putting MMA in an increasingly bad light in the general public's eyes.

I even hear this from some of the parents of the kids that I train. I do some MMA training for the kids that excel at Jiu-Jitsu to teach them the practical aspects of what they are learning and get them used to striking.

I am starting to get feedback from some of the parents that they don't want their kids to learn MMA because they don't want them to turn into the "hoodlums" they read about in the news. I caution them that it is more for their protection rather than to turn them into MMA fighters.

All have relented and allowed their kids to continue but the perception of the public is there. It is almost as bad in the John McCain days when people were coming out against MMA.

The UFC needs to step in on this.
