What Happens If I Don't Do The Achievements?
I don't understand this whole newcomer community thing where we are told we have to go through this series of steps to become verified. Does it give us some form of benefit? So far, I only see one greeter that has looked at my #achievement1 and zero on #achievement2.
I was starting #achievement3 , which seems pointless, as I don't plan on quoting anyone else in my posts, or using the work of others in any form.
What I wonder is, is there anyone on this platform? I see newcomers going through the motions, but that seems to be it. A few bots leave comments, and maybe a real person, to tell them they are doing something wrong, but that seems to be it. Many of the greeters haven't posted in a very long time, and many of the links in the guidelines are dead.
So what's the point? I see the introduction post could be helpful, if anyone looked at it, but the rest of this seems like a waste of time. Is this just a community of people trying to take, take, take, or are there actually people who want to check out the content of others? Judging from every other Achievement 1 post, since I started, it doesn't look good.
I will put along here, I guess, but until I see some action on people's posts, I will remain skeptical.

Nobody has even acknowledged that I finished #2 a couple of days ago. I'm just worried that if you don't finish, they start downvoting your posts or something.
These "archivment things" are only the rulez in this groupe here. For the platform it means nothing!
OK, you got a few votes, but who wants to read the same shit every day? It is more like a test new users understand the basics of the steem blockchain.

Oh, thank you for clarifying that. I couldn't get any answers and when I started, I was pointed in the newcomers direction so I tried to follow and do things properly. I understand what you're saying, and I just won't post to this group anymore. Thank you.
