College baseball team actually won a game 39-0 Friday night
Mississippi Valley State might want to give this entire baseball thing a second thought. It's not going too swimmingly for the Delta Devils. How do we know? Well, New Mexico State defeated the school on the baseball diamond Friday night by the score of 39-0.
We're not kidding. Though, we kinda wish we were.

A total of 39 runs on 30 hits with the visiting team committing four errors.
The Boxscore of this travesty is about as awe-inspiring as it gets.

It's the fourth largest blowout in NCAA baseball history. Nebraska holds the record, having defeated Chicago State by the score of 50-3 back in 1999. After dropping their opener to Delta State earlier in February, the Delta Devils have been outscored 49-5 in two games.
To put into perspective just how dominant New Mexico State's performance was here, its football team scored 39-plus points twice during the 2017 season. That squad wasn't terrible, either, having defeated Utah State in the Arizona Bowl.
