matt sokol - did you see it in the static?
Took a break from promotion to whip up this Boards-of-Canada-esque beat, utilizing some of those warbly keyboard synth sounds.
The plugin “Helm” has been recommended to me a million times and I’ve toyed around with it, but today was the first time I that I tapped into its true potential. The Helm sound on this beat is so gorgeous, heavily inspired by some electronic tunes @fourfourfun showed me in a Steemit post a little while ago.
This beat is awesome and I have to keep working on it. It may resurface as a full song later in 2018… or at least get finished and land in my music vault lol.
Viva La DSound - 2018 is the year for this platform! I can feel it.

I have played around with Helm a tiny bit and was impressed by it's clean and straightforward UI as well as nice way it approaches modulation. All that for free, amazing deal if you ask me. Loving what I am hearing here and if some of these patches are Helm then wow, what a range, the bell, pads and the staccato bassline are just gorgeous.
Gotta agree about the picture too, simply stunning looking! I can only imagine something like that twirling and melting on top of the ceiling in a club and that'd be one hell of a place for some nice trippy tunes :)

Thanks man! The very first synth in the beat is Helm, but the higher pitched one isn't. That one was the ES2 synth built into Logic, one of my favorites.

Heh, it reminds me of Nathan Fake, who first found his feet by experimenting with Boards Of Canada tracks played at 45rpm.
I was starring at the picture whilst the music playing... And I was hypnotised, xd.
By the way, that picture reminds me of Van Gogh's Starry Night.
