Update on the Permaculture Sweet Potato Patch
Well, if you've been following along you know that we started an experimental sweet potato patch in a low lying, very sandy and sometimes flooded by semi salty water area of our property. Our hope is that the sweet potatos, which are very prolific here in Florida, will spread their thick and hearty vines over this area and create a permaculture type ground cover. If they do then the hope is that they will pull nutrients from deep in the ground and create a more viable topsoil in this area.
