Spring Feelings ... A Countdown to Spring ... (Day 7)

73 days to go before spring can burst according to the official calendar.

Today I look at a picture of three riders. I took this picture early april 2017.

Throwback in time.

And that is not just a wonderful spring feeling, if you look at the young, cautious greenery on the trees, the sun that shines wonderfully. But it is not only that, but also a sense of "back in time". The time that I myself went horse riding every week.

Spend hours in the riding school.

Every week with a group of horseriders in the woods where we spent super nice hours with both quiet riding, as well as in full gallop through the woods and through the water. Swimming with the horses, and then chatting in the canteen of the riding school while enjoying a snack and drink.

Not only in spring, but ...

Yes of course I also went horse riding in the winter, but my favorite time was really spring. The temperatures were very pleasant then, and you were not sitting on your horse's back with frozen fingers. You didn't have to wear thick coats and scarves ... just with a body warmer you stayed warm enough. And the temperatures were certainly more pleasant for the horses ... which was often noticeable by the behavior of the horses.

Way to many insects in the summer in the woods.

Instead of flying all the way to the warm canteen after the ride, we kept talking outside, and went to the outside terrace to enjoy the temperatures that made it possible again after taking care of the horses. And the big advantage of this time over summer was, of course, that we were not bothered in the forest by all the insects you have in the summer.

Spring is and will be my favorite Season.

Yes ... Spring is and will always be my favorite season. For the time being I will continue to dream ... and meanwhile I strip a day away from my virtual countdown calendar every day.

Only 73 more days ... sigh!
