Dean Davis Conservation Area
This past Wednesday @melodyrussell had the day off and she joined me on a walk at Dean Davis Conservation Area. It is a 172 acre natural area. It has a one-mile path that is supposed to go in a circle around the middle of it. We walked this path and found that it split in several areas, leaving us almost lost. Thankfully the path is easy to follow so we knew as long as we stayed on the path, we could always turn around and go back.
The conservation area has a small fishing lake or pond. Seeing as how we had no idea where we were on the map, we assumed this (above) was the pond. We were pretty disappointed in its size. "That John Denver's full of shit, man"
A lot of the path through the woods was moss covered. We wanted to walk barefoot so bad!
We walked through a couple of pine groves.
Finally, we rounded a corner and there was the fishing pond! It's still pretty small, but it seems well maintained, as the area around the pond was well mowed.

Thanks for looking! Stay tuned!
What a great place to go for a walk! Looks like it was a beautiful day, too!
