"Milkweed"

Asclepias tuberosa - A very important plant for Monarch butterflies. Their larvae feed on the leaves and the adults drink from the flowers. This plant is poisonous. Monarchs eating from them in turn makes the Monarch poisonous to birds and therefore most birds leave them alone.
