Snow on the Sierra

Yesterday, it was raining in Granada. However, this is not such a sad news as it seems because as any people of Granada will tell you, when it's raining on Granada, it's snowing on the Sierra Nevada. And that's why today, the sun is back and the Sierra has regained its immaculate white crown:

It's the most comforting view I can ever imagine, to go for a walk and see the top of the Sierra, gleaming white, framed by the green of the forests and the blue of the sky. And what makes it even more impressive is that you can get a glimpse of it from any place in town.

It must be said that the conjunction of palmtrees and snow in the same photo is always for me a kind of minor miracle.

And of course, the streets are full of passer bys and the bars and restaurants and terraces full of revellers decided to celebrate another beginning of winter with a few tapas.
