SMPN 1 Bireuen Students Participate in Science Day Training.
The Driving School of the Regional Technical Implementation Unit (UPTD) of State Junior High School (SMPN) 1 Bireuen in collaboration with Erlangga Book Publisher held a science day training.
The science day using the DIY hand generator kit was guided directly by the Einstein Science Project Team from Jakarta, via zoom meeting.
The activity with the theme of simple machines, levers, and inclined planes, was carried out in the local school's literacy open space, Saturday (1/25/2025), morning, attended by 60 SMPN 1 Bireuen students in grades VIII and IX.
The Head of UPTD SMPN 1 Bireuen, Ibrahim Harun, S.Pd., MSM, said that the science day training using the DIY hand generator kit was a project-based learning development program for Natural Sciences (IPA) at the Driving School of UPTD SMPN 1 Bireuen.
This activity is very useful for students to increase their interest in learning science and they not only learn theory, but can also practice it directly.
"This project-based learning is a strategic step to support the vision of UPTD SMPN 1 Bireuen as an innovative driving school," said Ibrahim Harun.
By collaborating with trusted education partners, Ibrahim Harun hopes that this program can create fun, meaningful learning that is oriented towards developing 21st century skills.
In addition, the expected results of this training include increasing students' understanding of science concepts through direct experience.
Then, an innovative product in the form of a student-made hand generator that can be used for further learning and complete documentation of project-based learning, as a model that can be replicated in other schools.
He said that for the first stage of this activity, 60 students participated, they would conduct experiments studying the conversion of mechanical energy into electrical energy.
In conducting the experiment, participants were guided by Oktaviani Wulandari and Laras Affuani from the Einstein Science Project Jakarta team via zoom meeting and were directly accompanied by a number of science subject teachers at SMPN 1 Bireuen.

"UPTD SMPN 1 Bireuen always tries to arouse students' curiosity and creativity and provide better learning motivation for students," explained Ibrahim Harun.
