This time I want to share a photo of Jackfruit.

Jackfruit is the name of a tree, as well as its fruit. Jackfruit trees belong to the tribe of Moraceae; Its scientific name is Artocarpus heterophyllus. In English, jackfruit is known as jackfruit.

Explanation about Jackfruit

Jackfruit tree is generally medium-sized, up to about 20mtingginya, although some reach 30 meters. Cylindrical round bars, up to about 1 meter in diameter. The header is solid and bushy, wide and rounded when in the open. All parts of the plant release a thick white sap when injured.

Single leaf, scattered, stemmed 1-4cm, leathery, leathery, rigid, flat-brimmed, rounded eggs to jorong (elongated), 3.5-12 × 5-25cm, with narrowed base little by little, and the short tip is pointy or slightly pointed. Jackfruit flowers are called babal.

After passing through his cooking age, the babal will rot (grow up) and blacken while still in the tree, before finally falling. Female flowers in single or paired, cylindrical or oval, dark green.

Compound fruits (syncarp) are spindle lengthwise, often uneven, up to 100cm long, on the outside forming short, soft spikes. 'Flesh of the fruit', which is actually the development of the flower, the golden yellow when ripe, sweet-smelling sweet, fleshy, sometimes filled with sweet fluid (nectar).

Round-shaped oval seed until the jorong is slightly flattened, 2-4cm long, successively covered by a thin brown leather-like skin, a tough whitish endocarp, and a soft exocarp. The seeds are not half cupped.
