Aceh Party a local political party formed based on Law no. 11 Year 2006 on Aceh government. Starting from Peace in Helsinki dated August 15, 2005 between the Government of the Republic of Indonesia and the Free Aceh Movement (Gerakan Aceh Merdeka, GAM), the Law was born. In the early period of 2009 after the two-year establishment of the Partai Aceh, the Aceh Party had dominated the vote in the legislative elections at the city / county and provincial levels. The party also won a landslide victory in the gubernatorial election in 2012.
