Why did the T-rex have such small arms?

Why were the arms of the T-rex so short?

The T-rex had short arms and experts in paleontology have various theories about why the upper limbs of these furious dinosaurs did not correspond to their giant bodies.

According to the paleobiology specialist Paul Barrett , one of the theories is that the short arms of the tyrannosaurus rex were the product of the evolution of the species , since they simply did not use them . His jaw was so big and strong that it was enough to destroy his prey and eat them.

For Strauss those arms that seem short and weak were actually very strong and flexible with a greater range of mobility than in other more proportioned dinosaurs. Their upper extremities would have allowed them to raise their bodies from the ground, hold prey and hold the females when they mate.
